Birmingham Bowl

The Birmingham Bowl marks its 20th year in 2026, bringing a postseason college football matchup to Protective Stadium downtown during the week between Christmas and New Year’s. Last year Georgia Southern beat Appalachian State 29 to 10.

This year’s game is set for Tuesday, December 29. The matchup is decided by bowl selections in early December, and public ticket sales begin December 6 through the bowl’s site. Protective Stadium sits next to the BJCC, so use the complex’s parking decks and allow extra time for traffic. Kickoff time will be announced closer to the game.
