The Jubilee Festival of Arts takes its name from Mobile Bay’s jubilees, when fish, crabs and shrimp crowd the Eastern Shore. The 38th annual festival brings more than 140 artists and vendors with paintings, jewelry, ceramics and more, plus the Jubilee Market of local food makers, a free children’s art area and a tailgater zone.

It runs Saturday, October 17, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, October 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free, and it goes on rain or shine. Coolers are not allowed and dogs are discouraged. Park at Lott Park or Christ the King Catholic Church, and look for accessible parking behind Daphne City Hall.
