Greater Gulf State Fair

The Greater Gulf State Fair is Mobile’s big fall fair, with a midway full of rides, livestock and exhibits, fair food, and concerts and a rodeo that are included with admission.

It runs October 30 to November 8. Gates open at 4 p.m. on weekdays and noon on weekends. The midway closes at 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and at midnight on Friday and Saturday. Gate admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids 5 to 10 on weekdays, $12 and $6 on weekends, and free for 4 and under. Advance tickets are cheaper through October 30. Unlimited ride wristbands are $30 on weekdays and $35 on weekends. Weeknights are less crowded with small kids.
