Jurassic Golf
About
Jurassic Golf brings a glow-in-the-dark, dinosaur-themed mini golf course indoors to the Pelican Place shopping center in Gulf Shores, giving visitors an air-conditioned alternative to the outdoor putt-putt courses scattered around town. Spread across roughly 5,000 square feet, the course packs 18 holes of prehistoric scenery into a single indoor space lit with black lights, murals and dinosaur figures positioned along the way.
The course design leans fully into its prehistoric theme, with painted backdrops, glowing obstacles and dinosaur sculptures placed along the fairway to give each hole its own personality. Because the entire course is indoors, it plays the same regardless of Gulf Shores’ summer heat, an afternoon thunderstorm, or winter chill, making it a dependable stop any time of year and any time the weather along the coast turns uncooperative.

Jurassic Golf is open daily from noon to 9 p.m., with the last round of the day sold a half hour before closing. A first round of golf runs $14.50 for adults and $10.00 for children ages four to twelve, with children three and under playing free as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult. Replay rounds are discounted to $6.00 for all ages, an option families often use if they want to run the course a second time before heading back out for the rest of the day.

The Pelican Place location puts Jurassic Golf near several other indoor attractions along Gulf Shores Parkway, making it easy to pair a round of mini golf with an escape room, dinner or shopping stop during the same visit. Suite 142 sits within the larger shopping center, with parking and access shared among the surrounding retail and dining tenants, so it works well as one stop on a longer evening out rather than a standalone destination.

A small gift shop rounds out the space, giving visitors a place to pick up a souvenir on the way out, and the business accepts cash, major credit and debit cards, and contactless payment methods including Apple Pay. Because it operates as a single, independently run course rather than a chain with locations up and down the coast, the pacing and character of a round can feel a little more personal than at some of the larger tourist attractions nearby.
The indoor, glow-lit format also makes Jurassic Golf a natural fit for evening plans, since it does not depend on daylight the way an outdoor course does. Families finishing dinner nearby or looking for something to do after the beach closes for the day can walk in for a round without worrying about losing light partway through, and the black-light theming tends to appeal to teenagers and adults just as much as younger kids.
Groups of all sizes tend to make their way through Pelican Place over the course of a Gulf Shores vacation, and Jurassic Golf works well as a stop that does not require much advance planning. Walk-up play is the norm rather than a required reservation, which suits the way many beach trips get planned day to day, with families deciding on an activity a few hours ahead rather than weeks in advance.
The dinosaur theme also gives the course a bit of an edge with younger kids who might otherwise lose interest in a standard mini golf layout partway through eighteen holes. Between the black lights, the sculpted dinosaurs and the painted prehistoric scenery, there is enough visual variety from hole to hole to keep the round moving without it feeling repetitive.
For families looking to escape the sun for an hour, or for anyone who simply enjoys a well-themed round of mini golf, Jurassic Golf offers Gulf Shores visitors a compact, air-conditioned course that leans fully into its dinosaur concept from the moment guests step through the door until the last putt drops on the eighteenth hole.
