Jubilee Suites Boutique B&B
About
Set directly on Mobile Bay in Fairhope, Alabama, Jubilee Suites Boutique B&B occupies 200 feet of private beachfront on North Mobile Street, a rare stretch of waterfront this close to downtown. The property operates as a small luxury bed and breakfast resort built around nine family-size suites, each designed to sleep a group rather than a single couple, with the full property able to host up to 36 guests at once.
Seven of the nine suites include full kitchens, and the remaining two come with kitchenettes, so longer stays and family gatherings do not depend entirely on restaurant runs. Every suite has one or two bedrooms with private bathrooms, upscale linens and toiletries, high-speed wifi, and smart TVs in both the bedrooms and living areas. Most open onto a bay-view balcony or porch, and each room carries its own name and personality drawn from Southern plants and places.
The Azalea and Camellia suites anchor the larger end of the lineup, each with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and room for six guests, starting around $490 a night. Azalea has hardwood floors and a vaulted, hardwood-lined ceiling over its kitchen and living area, while Camellia leans into a brighter palette with a white kitchen and living space. The Cypress suite matches that same two-bedroom, six-guest layout at a similar rate and is one of the property’s pet-friendly options, decorated in shades of blue and neutral tones.
The Charlotte suite offers two bedrooms and one bathroom for up to four adults, starting near $440 a night, with hardwood floors, a ceiling fan, and its own dining area. Satsuma follows a similar two-bedroom, one-bath configuration for four guests around $395, distinguished by large bay windows that look straight out over the water. On the smaller end, the one-bedroom king suites, Dogwood, Lotus, Magnolia, and New Orleans, sleep two to four guests and start between $315 and $385 a night, each with its own character: Dogwood’s sliding glass doors open onto a bay-view patio, Lotus has a vaulted ceiling and chandelier over its sitting area, Magnolia pairs white cabinetry with hardwood floors, and New Orleans opens onto a shared courtyard.
A made-to-order full breakfast is prepared fresh each morning and included with every stay, a detail that sets the property apart from a standard vacation rental. Guests can also borrow kayaks and paddleboards at no charge to explore the bay directly from the property’s beach, and a firepit near the water gets used most evenings for sunset gatherings. Jubilee Suites is a Select Registry member, a designation reserved for a select group of independently inspected inns and bed and breakfasts across North America.
Beyond overnight stays, the property regularly hosts corporate retreats, family reunions, weddings, wellness and yoga events, and workshops for artists and writers, using both its indoor gathering spaces and the outdoor grounds along the water. Downtown Fairhope sits about a mile away, an easy walk or short drive to the town’s restaurants and shops. Fairhope itself was named to Southern Living’s list of the 50 Best Small Towns in the South in 2023, a recognition that speaks to the same qualities that draw repeat guests back to the bay side of North Mobile Street.
With nine distinct suites at a range of sizes and rates, Jubilee Suites tends to draw everything from couples looking for a quiet weekend in the smaller king rooms to extended families who take over two or three suites at once for a reunion. Reservations and questions about the property’s event spaces can be directed to the inn at 557 North Mobile Street or by phone at 251-517-7515.
Because every suite includes a full living area and either a full kitchen or kitchenette, groups tend to use Jubilee Suites more like a private beach house than a standard hotel floor, spreading out across bedrooms while still sharing a kitchen table for morning coffee. The private beachfront gives each stay direct access to the water without crossing a public road or parking lot, a detail that matters as much for the kayak launches as for the evenings spent around the firepit. With nine suites of varying size, the property can just as easily host a single couple in the Lotus suite as it can a three-generation family spread across the Azalea, Camellia, and Satsuma suites at once.
