Salon Coral
About
Salon Coral sits at 209 S Section Street in Fairhope, a Tuesday-through-Saturday hair studio built around a small team of stylists rather than a rotating cast of independent contractors. The salon is closed Sundays and Mondays, though several stylists keep appointments outside the posted 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. hours for clients who need to work around a different schedule.
Owner Lindsey Walters is a Texas native who settled in Fairhope 14 years ago. She brings 21 years of salon experience and 16 years as a licensed cosmetologist to the chair, with a specialty in balayage, Brazilian blowouts and formal up-styles for weddings and events. Reach her directly at lindseywalters@saloncoral.com or by phone at (251) 210-8300.

The rest of the team includes Emily G., a Chicago native trained at the Aveda Institute in 2011 who focuses on precision cutting techniques and color trends, and Elizabeth H., a Baldwin County native with two years behind the chair who specializes in blonding, lived-in color and low-maintenance cuts. Paige S., also Aveda-trained, works in lived-in balayage, bright blondes, makeup and styling, while Kristen M., a ten-year veteran of the industry who got her start in Fairhope, focuses on balayage, blonding and bridal styling. Front desk staff includes Katelyn B., a Mobile native who moved into salon hospitality after a stint in dental work, and Kylie S., a recent high school graduate pursuing her cosmetology license at Baystyle Academy while working as a temporary receptionist and assistant. Between the stylists and front desk team, the salon covers a range of specialties from bridal up-styles to everyday blonding, giving clients a consistent stylist to return to rather than a rotating roster.
Services span cuts starting at $65 for women and $40 for men, along with a full color menu: single-process color from $100, partial highlights from $145, full highlights from $175, a full highlight paired with a cut from $215, and balayage from $180. Color correction is priced after an in-person consultation given how much that work varies client to client, a step the salon also recommends before any major highlight or balayage change for a first-time guest.

Beyond color and cuts, the salon offers blowouts from $45, updos from $65, and a conditioning treatment from $20. Smoothing services include a full keratin treatment from $250, a keratin express option from $150, and a Brazilian blowout from $250. Brow services round out the menu with waxing from $15, tinting from $20, and lamination from $45, plus makeup application from $75 and hair extensions priced after consultation. Salon Coral also sells branded merchandise, including t-shirts, mugs and gift cards, through its online store.
Clients can browse recent color and cut work on the salon’s online portfolio page before booking, and appointments can be scheduled directly through the salon’s online booking page rather than by phone alone. Gift cards are also available for purchase through the salon’s online store for clients shopping for someone else’s first visit, alongside branded merchandise like t-shirts and mugs that round out the shop.
The salon asks for 24 hours’ notice on cancellations; a second late cancellation inside that window is billed at 50 percent of the service, and no-shows are charged in full. Clients arriving more than 20 minutes late may be asked to reschedule to keep the rest of the day’s appointments on track. Unaccompanied children are not permitted inside the salon, and clients are asked to arrange childcare before their visit. When the small front lot fills up, street parking is available across from the building.

Salon Coral keeps an active presence on Instagram at @saloncoral.fairhope and on Facebook as Salon Coral Fairhope, where the team regularly posts finished color and styling work from the chair. Book directly through the online booking page or by calling the salon at (251) 210-8300 to schedule with a specific stylist.
