Parade of Pumpkins

Every Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat & Sun · Oct 16–31 Historic Downtown Prattville Free
A wooden pier with a covered end reaching into Mobile Bay in Fairhope, Alabama

For the second half of October, Historic Downtown Prattville fills up with thousands of carved, painted and decorated pumpkins made by local families, schools and businesses. Storefronts get seasonal displays, and the city lights each pumpkin at night, so an evening walk is the best way to see it. Now in its eighth year, it has become one of the area’s favorite fall outings.

It is free to walk, and food trucks and extra activities pop up on some nights, along with movies at The Lyric. Park along Main Street or near City Hall and plan on about an hour. If you want to enter a pumpkin, check the city’s page for the drop-off rules and contest dates.
