Mobile Latin Fest closes out Hispanic Heritage Month with an afternoon and evening at Mardi Gras Park. The lineup includes folkloric dance groups, salsa dancers and musicians representing Peru, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Mexico and more, along with a fashion show, arts and crafts, local Hispanic vendors and food trucks.

The sixth annual festival is Saturday, October 10, from 2 to 9 p.m. Admission is free, and the event raises scholarship money for local Hispanic students through the Hispanic American Business Association of the Gulf Coast. It is family friendly, so bring the kids and a few folding chairs. The same evening is busy downtown, so plan parking ahead.
