Alabama Symphony Orchestra Masterworks Series

The Masterworks series is the heart of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra’s season: full-length orchestral programs, often with guest soloists, on Friday and Saturday evenings at UAB’s Jemison Concert Hall. This season includes Requiem in October, English Light in November, Seven in March and Planets in May.

Concerts start at 7 p.m., and tickets run about $36 to $90. If evenings are hard, many programs repeat as an 11 a.m. Coffee Concert on Friday at a lower price. The hall is on UAB’s campus near Five Points South, with paid parking nearby. Holiday shows like Handel’s Messiah are sold separately, so check the full calendar.
