About

Fairhope Fitness 24 occupies 54 N Section Street in Fairhope, offering round-the-clock access to a gym floor, group fitness studio and personal training staff. The facility is staffed Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon, but members reach the building any other hour through a secured key fob entry system, a setup built for early risers and late-night lifters alike.

Owner Mallory Nottenkamper brings a clinical background to the gym’s culture. A certified physician assistant with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences and NASM certification, Nottenkamper lost 188 pounds on her own wellness journey before opening the facility, an experience she says shaped her approach to coaching members through their own goals rather than a one-size-fits-all program.

The training staff rounds out with three additional certified trainers. Shelly Hendryx holds ACE certification along with group fitness credentials in yoga, spin and kickboxing, plus TRX and CPR/AED certifications; she earned a B.S. in Education from the University of Georgia and has trained clients since 1999, first in Colorado and later in Atlanta before landing in Fairhope. Eddie Henry, an ACE-certified trainer and Precision Nutrition Master Nutritionist with a GMP Longevity and Wellness Specialist credential, holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Auburn University and has coached clients across Baldwin County since 1997. Allison Mickler, also ACE-certified along with an IIN nutritional health coaching credential, holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Pepperdine University and draws on a background in competitive equestrian sports while coaching clients on muscle development, toning and weight loss.

Group fitness at the gym spans cycling, barre, bootcamp, TRX, HIIT, strength training, yoga fusion and boxing, all bookable through the Mindbody app or the gym’s website. The open floor gym is outfitted with Precor adaptive motion trainers and elliptical cross-trainers with adjustable stride length, along with stair masters, treadmills, upright and recumbent stationary bikes, rowers and assault bikes for members who prefer to build their own workout.

Membership runs $59.99 a month for an Individual Unlimited plan, which includes 24/7 gym access and all group classes with no initiation fee, plus auto-renewal each month. A Family Unlimited option keeps that same base rate and adds each additional household member for $39.99 a month. Members who would rather pay as they go can book a single class for $15, buy a day pass for $20 covering gym access only, pick up a week pass for $50, or take a month pass for $75 that does not auto-renew. College students and corporate groups can inquire about additional discounted rates.

Locker rooms include private bathrooms and showers, and the gym’s open-air flow studio gives group classes their own dedicated space separate from the main floor. Members store gear in on-site lockers between sessions.

Staff answer questions about membership tiers, personal training packages and class scheduling by phone at (251) 929-2450 or by email at fairhopefitness24@gmail.com during staffed hours. Because the day pass covers gym access only and not group classes, members who want to try a class before committing to a monthly plan typically start with the $15 single-class rate instead.

The Individual Unlimited plan auto-renews monthly and carries a cancellation charge equal to a month’s dues, so members are encouraged to confirm their schedule fits before signing up for the ongoing membership rather than a shorter pass. Corporate and college student inquiries are handled case by case, letting local employers and students ask about group rates directly with staff during the Monday-through-Friday staffed window.

The gym describes its purpose as “creating a culture built on wellness, fitness and community,” a mission reflected in its staffed hours and 24/7 access model, giving Fairhope residents flexibility to train around work schedules, school pickups or early tee times without waiting on a set class time.
