Dauphin Island Sunset Concert Season Finale

Dauphin Island calls itself the Sunset Capital of Alabama, and its Sunday sunset concerts at Historic Fort Gaines make the case. The 2026 series wraps up with singer-songwriter Eric Erdman playing inside the fort’s grounds as the sun sets over the water.

The final concert is Sunday, October 11, at 4:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, and children 12 and under get in free. Bring lawn chairs, snacks and drinks. Arrive early enough to walk the fort and find a good spot, and pack bug spray for when the breeze dies down at dusk. The series is run by the Town of Dauphin Island, which posts updates on its Facebook page.
