Trak Shak Wednesday Night Run

The Wednesday night run from the Trak Shak in downtown Homewood is one of the easiest ways to find running company in Birmingham. It is free and social, with a 3 or 5 mile course and runners of every pace, and there are drinks back at the store afterward.

Runs start at 5:30 p.m. Wear something reflective as days get shorter, and park with care around 18th Street, where spaces fill after work. If you want a longer weekend run, the Birmingham Track Club leaves from the same store on Saturday mornings at 6 a.m. for the long group and 6:30 a.m. for moderate distances.
